2020 season thread

Really looking forward to the race this morning.

Well Texas Motor Speedway is still soaking wet and it's raining more now than it was yesterday.

No idea when race will start, track dryers are parked.

Doesn’t look like it will be today. Should have ran the Cup race at noon instead of the truck race yesterday. The trucks probably could have got an official race in yesterday afternoon

I'm surprised the Truck race at Texas didn't have a fight.

Johnny Sauter continues to make friends.

Chandler Smith's day went from bad to worse to fuck all.

Sheldon Creed won by staying ahead of other people's shit.

Ben Rhodes is not a fan of the Kyle Busch Motorsports program.

didnt see the race, but give a thumbs up for his honest opinion not the PC cliche's we are used to hearing nowadays
I liked his final comment which is evident when Kyle climbs in the truck & wins LOL
who are the KBM's drivers?

STILL drying the track, and some rain still in the forecast.

who are the KBM's drivers?

Christian Eckes, who flipped Rhodes off after their incident.
Chandler Smith, who hit Rhodes on the last lap.
Raphael Lessard, who was also in the race and finished in the Top 5.
Brandon Jones and Riley Herbst are also part of the KBM roster.

A NASCAR official statement regarding the weather at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth track stated: “With continued moisture and low temperatures hampering drying efforts, as well as a similar forecast for the remainder of this evening at Texas Motor Speedway, the resumption of the NASCAR Cup Series Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 has been pushed to Tuesday at 11 a.m. CT / Noon ET on NBCSN, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.”

Scattered Showers with cold temperatures in the forecast this afternoon. They might wanna go ahead and start this race now instead of waiting for their next scheduled go.

There’s no reason this race shouldn’t have been a high noon start on Sunday. Let the tracks take their normal Friday night spot. If they don’t get it in today, it’s gonna cause some logistical problems getting to Martinsville for the smaller teams

so what's yalls opinion about the MJ/Hamlin team

Wallace is a predictable choice, but it should be noted that Wallace has been noticeably worse at RPM than his two predecessors were.

Wallace isn’t a top team Cup level driver. He won a few truck races, but he never won a Busch race in multiple seasons in top equipment while his teammate was winning the championship. Almirola and Allmendinger has the 43 as a top 20 ride.

Bubba has a ton of sponsorship tied to him, so he’ll be around as long as that holds out, but that’ll go away if the results don’t hold up, and he’ll go the way of Danica Patrick.

Allmendinger is a good driver, had he not fucked up at Penske, he’d have numerous Cup wins IMO.

Really, I think he’d be a better candidate than Erik Jones in the 43 with the influx of road courses on the schedule next year, and he was always solid at short tracks and super speedways too. Guarantee he’d win a race in the 43 next year

Tomorrow at 3 PM. What a clusterfuck. All because they just had to run the truck race at noon.

It'll be next season by the time they get this race going again.

Kyle Larson has signed a multi year deal with Hendrick.

who would have thought.
Using a racial slur would elevate his career!
HMS is way better scenario than Ganassi
He failed up for sure. But If he can be sponsored, he’s too big of a talent to cancel over a mistake. And let’s not forget, he is the most successful minority driver in NASCAR history.

But really, I guess his mistake didn’t change a thing other than him missing most of this season. He was gonna be with HMS next year, he likely would have been in the 48 had he not fucked up, but it’s arguable the 88 team(5 next year) is more desirable at this point

I dont think HMS is going to have a problem getting sponsors, couple that with Larsons talent in quality cars. Sponsors will come calling them. They are past the knee jerk reaction stage.

Damn you nascar, another lie.

Now they're firing engines at 3pm instead of 2 pm. I think they just said. Who knows.
