2022 Season Thread

Christopher Bell looks like a tall 8th grader.

Chris Buescher looks like the fat guy at the bar that just came in from holding a road sign at road construction all day.

Or maybe the dump truck driver who just delivered gravel for your driveway.

Logano looks like Bell's new 8th grade basketball coach who bears watching. Keep an eye out Chris and make sure he isn't peeking in at you while you're taking an after game shower.

Back to Back for Harvick!! And I thought he was washed up.

Denny Hamlin reminds me of the monotone stammering guy at the bar that everyone avoids and are looking for a reason to punch.

Chase Elliott is the rich kid that everyone hates, he walks into the bar and offers to buy drinks and everyone makes excuses and leaves.

Alright, no more driver impressions, going to stop watching this post race shit and go let Gunner out.

That was the best race for SHR as a whole since at least 2020.

Harvick won. Almirola was in the top 10 all race. Briscoe was running in the top 5 before a freak fire ruined his race. Even Custer was solidly in the top 10 before his power steering went out

There’s a rumor floating around that Texas is soon to be off the schedule and the track leveled. I’d love it. How fitting would it be for Texas to be off the schedule and North Wilksboro added?

Harvick might have got lucky last week, but he straight up won that one. Made his way through the field, and made the pass for the lead under green.

But God damn, Richmond sucks
Agree. There was nothing at all flukey about that. Harvick was strong. They sure have woke up over there. And as I've said previously, the NASCAR playoff is better when Harvick is in it and competitive. Happy for him.

And yes, Richmond is awful. I don't know what it needs...a repave, a reconfigure, or what. Also, is this the first year in forever that the fall Richmond race was run during the day? Used to always be a Sat night race under the lights. Either way, the racing there has been dog crap for quite a few years now. They need to figure something out.

I don’t know what the track needs, it used to be decent. Indy cars put on a better show there now. The only redeeming quality is tires really matter there

What it needs is to feel like short track racing again. What it currently is, is a short track that races and feels like (from a fan perspective) a Michigan. No one wants 1.5 mile feeling on a storied short track like Richmond. What the fix is for that, I'm unsure.

Go back to the track layout that Kyle Petty got his first win on

STRONG rumor that Kyle Busch is headed to Kaulig and Chevy is footing a lot of the salary because they will be funding KBM in the truck series.
That'd be something.

Source on that strong rumor?

Jordan Bianchi. He writes for the Athletic. They have also discussed the rumor on the DBC show.

I'm rooting for Busch to Stewart Haas.
They don't have a truck team.

Kaulig doesn’t either.

I’m pulling for him to Kaulig. Those guys in Toyota’s system will now be getting ECR equipment and a possibility of Chandler Smith replacing Reddick at RCR.

Blaney just signed a long term extension at Penske. I'm kind of surprised. While he has ran good, I figured he'd gun to take the #1 spot at another organization like SHR. Logano seems to have #1 locked up at Penske.
