2022 Season Thread

ARCA driver Daniel Dye was arrested for punching his high school classmate in the balls that resulted in a ruptured testicle. Dye is being charged with felony battery. This is where the term “ARCA brakes” comes from
 
You know they could have started that race at one yesterday and got past halfway before the rains came. It’s a shame. I love Dover, but I get the feeling with Bruton Smith buying them out, Dover’s days of being on the schedule are numbered with North Wilkesboro and the Nashville Fairgrounds being renovated

I'm in a 40 person pool for the season, pick a driver every week, can only pick a driver twice in a season, and it's a season long points system where the top 5 at the end of the season get paid, so far on the year I've had:

Daytona- Stenhouse- leading with under 10 to go, gets wrecked
Fontana- Alex Bowman- solidly in the top 10, hits wall on last lap and drops to 20 something
Vegas- Logano- Don't remember the details, he just had a mediocre 14th place run
Phoenix- Harvick- Gets 8th, but got shuffled from second on the last restart
Atlanta- Ryan Blaney- finished 17th
COTA- Allmendinger- fighting for lead on last lap, gets wrecked and finishes outside the top 30
Richmond- Truex- 4th place, good run
Martinsville- Cole Custer- starts up front, stays there most of the race, gets a speeding penalty, finishes 20 something
Bristol- Austin Dillon- running in the top 10 all race, then gets too much dirt in the motor and it blows up
Dega- Brad Keselowski- Couldn't quit speeding on pit entry

Plan was to stay middle of the field until the midway point where I'd still have all the top drivers in play, but I'm 3rd from last, and pretty well eliminated from the money.

Picked Kyle Larson this week because Hendrick owns Dover. Check the leaderboard, Larson is 2 laps down. Think I’m gonna go heavy Hendrick and Gibbs until I can’t pick em anymore

Dover is a guaranteed Hendrick win. It’s why I picked Larson in my pool. But if that douche has to win, I’m glad it happened while I was at work and couldn’t watch
 
NASCAR’s DB Cooper, LW Wright is revealed 40 years later. Apparently his name is actually Larry Wright and he had the fire suit and pictures to prove it.

Dude had a dream and made it happen even if he had to cheat a lot of people to make that one NASCAR start and run 13 laps at Talladega before being forced to park for not maintaining minimum speed

Yup came here to say the same. I hope they fine or penalize the team enough points that he takes it right the shorts. Both Busch boys aren't worth a shit.

LOL. Denny Hamlin got to watch both of his cars crash out while he got some pretty good damage himself. He was my pool pick the week, the curse continues. I look forward to fucking over every Gibbs and Hendrick driver twice this year. After that, I’ll probably just pick someone like Cody Ware and whoever is in the 77 to keep from hurting innocents that have real shots

Closest thing to a fight Harvick has been involved in during his NASCAR career was when he grabbed Greg Biffle by the throat in the early 00's. His helmet wasn't on.
 
If I were gonna pull for a driver because of their fights, it would be Noah Gragson. He actually throws punches and usually against Gibbs drivers.
