Well looky here . . . this was one of the best tackles of the game.

Notice the tackler's head? not down, not leading with the crown, actually turned to the side . . .

Wow you found one with eyes up. Notice the head still leads. . Oh and look. Helmet to helmet contact... the thing you’re supposedly trying to avoid.
So, I guess thanks for the example

And furthermore, what would happen if the runner just before impact decided to duck just a couple of inches to brace himself as runners are apt to do? The tacklers helmet would smack the runners helmet back violently... which is the precise thing we want to avoid.
You’re literally arguing to ‘go in high’ !!!
And if the runner did crouch a bit? The tackler would be susceptible to ejection on the same exact rule.
Do you understand?
It’s a stupid rule.
You’re own damned example helps prove it.

You have obviously lead with your head too much.

Another salient retort from the forum toddler.

If the runner would crouch two inches for any reason, that tackler gets ejected for helmet to helmet contact... even though nothing changes about his form or execution.

QED

stupid rule.

For the dozenth time or so in this thread, another reply with no point or argument whatsoever, much less a reply to the facts and argument quoted.

Y’all have smartphones that have video capability.
show me you doing ONE form tackle with your head not leading or your eyes up.

I’ll wait.

laughable rule. Laughable prosecution.

Every. Tackle. Leads. With. The. Head.

You do realize all those are form tackles where their head is to the side and actually that UNC player has his head up. That KC player would be called for targeting on that hit.

Skalski is lucky he wasn't paralyzed, none of those tackles you showed were crown to the body or back except the KC player that would have been targeting. This is to protect the tackler even more than the player he is trying to tackle. Frustrating sometimes bc some are questionable...but that hit on Fields WAS NOT questionable at all. Easy call.

Do you know what the crown of the helmet is? Find out what it is and then you will know why it is different LOL Geez it's like trying to teach a 3 year old multiplication with this asshat.

Looks awfully similar to Shazier's hit that left him paralyzed. This is exactly why the league made this rule.

You teach a kid from his pee wee days to tackle with his head up, not head down. There is a huge difference and if you don't know that difference...lets be glad you didn't play football. It's like picking up your head before you hit the golf ball...it's a :nonono:

Google images which I’ve relayed to you literally hundreds of times on these forums and the previous hoopla will show you how *every form tackle has eyes down. Literally almost every. You need another montage pic, or can you use a web browser?

No you’re proving your “point” with every misinformed, inane post Mr. Quixote.

You are either ignoring the facts or stupid if you don't see the difference...but stay stubborn

Indianapolis, IN - In an unexpected move, the NCAA Football Rules Committee has released a major rules change for collegiate football to be implemented immediately. In all future football contests, all defensive players attempting to tackle a ball carrier must now launch themselves feet-first and apprehend the opponent with flying scissors. If not able to do so, the defender must first cut off his own head before initiating a head-first tackle.

As news of this rules change spread throughout the collegiate athletic world, the women's basketball rules committee is looking at implementing similar rules changes.

Surprised nobody even mentioned (unless I missed it)...same kid got ejected from the LSU game for the same crown hit...it didn't look nearly as bad but you think he would have learned by now.

OP doesn't know the rules.
