TV Series Better Call Saul

Looks like Gene is dead. So who will he become now?

What ya think?

She wasn't ready when Gene got there cuz she spent a full hour trying to load a youtube video on dial-up internet.

I don't buy that just Ask Jeevesing "Albuquerque" and "Conman" would bring up Saul first. There are like 10 different things you'd call him before a conman. Slippin Jimmy was a conman.

Would have been better if Gene casually mentioned a Chicago Sunroof and then she googled that and got the story of Jimmy shitting in that guy's car and connected the dots from there.

Honestly that was my biggest complaint about this episode. Even googling “Albuquerque criminal” would have made more sense.

Remember early in the season when the DA and detective where pressing Jimmy and Kim about Jimmy’s knowledge of Lalo? Whatever happened to that story? I guess it’s just implied they just ignored it and nothing ever came from it, but there was never any clear resolution to that that I remember, I just realized. Seemed like that was gonna be some kind of arc this season. Everyone in the courthouse just hated Jimmy for an episode and that was all.

Maybe not ask jeeves, but I confirmed Albuquerque con man's first hit on Google is an old Saul Goodman commercial. Comments are interesting.

Lalo was officially dead very shortly after that.

Lalo was completely off the grid.

They could only have their suspicions that he knew more than he was letting on. But they had nothing else to go off of.

And we didnt see much of the court room stuff from then on anyways.

Yeah. I suppose it would just kind of fizzle in real life with no resolution if a DA didn’t have anything hard to go on. And I get the point being showing Saul choosing a path and getting closer to being the not at all respected Saul. Just looking back the time it got vs where it went seems disproportionate. I’ll pay better attention to it when I rewatch down the line.

I think the focus was more about Jimmy's choice. He could have (really truthfully) said he was forced and came clean. He chose to be a friend to the cartel. With the body double being found dead basically the day after he escaped to Mexico, there wasn't really anything more to resolve.

If you get a foreign VPN it’s on there already.

he was when I knew him.

Fwiw, when she got out the smoke, I turned to the lil lady on the side of the couch and said “Hey Yo, can I get one of those.” I had to rewind cuz we both laughed for awhile when Jesse started talking.

He said bum but it was still funny.

This thing could’ve ended awhile ago and I would’ve appreciated the series more.

Don’t know how I want him to kill himself, but there are a lot of options for Gene still.
I liked the episode last night more than the past couple. They could have wrapped this up with fewer episodes,

How does Saul have his diploma with “Saul Goodman” on it? If you legally change your name, can you get a diploma remade with your new name on it?

You can also call the number on the list Nippy poster, if you want to really call Saul.

Maybe it’s fake, I’d assume you can though. I’m sure Saul could sweet talk the lady in the University of American Samoa records department into hooking him up.

Best part of the whole series.
I don't know about that, but I don't get all the hate for it. Seemed a little jarring at first, but now they're tying it all together amazingly.

Meh, I hated where Kim was at, such a sad shell. From badass lawyer, to I used miracle whip vs. mayonnaise. Granted, I guess Saul/Gene/Jimmy has fell into a similar place, but he deserved it.
