TV Series Better Call Saul

Gene movie would be great.

Kim’s story is missing from BBSeason1 to possibly Gene timeframe. Unless she’s dead. Which I doubt.
I don’t think she’ll die either, but something big has to happen. They still have quite a way to go to get Jimmy from his current Saul personality to the full on slimy piece of shit BB Saul personality.

Either something has to happen with his relationship with Kim that pushes him over the edge (like how Chuck’s death got him half way there), or she’s gonna be the one who shapes it, looks like they’re starting to show her pulling some of those strings already. Really don’t like the idea that she’s around behind the scenes in BB though, something big has to happen with her.

I think its more likely she shapes it, maybe a break up really does him in. Dont think she can possibly be dead though.

I know he got over Chucks death. But Jimmy/Saul is really genuinely into Kim. Hes a bit of a narcissist with how much he loves his persona and being a hot shot lawyer, but he isnt a sociopath. Just dont see how he would be the happy go lucky Saul we meet in BB if shes flat out dead.

Yeah, he dealt with Chuck's death by not dealing with it and going full "slippin' Jimmy" in his professional life. But if Kim died, and if she does it'd be related to their shenanigans no doubt, I don't see how the character we know comes back from that.

Still, right now Saul is just Jimmy embracing his Slippin Jimmy side. The BB Saul is way more of a scumbag. Something has to trigger that.

Yup right now he still has a conscious about representing the scum. Something still has to make him full blow embrace being a "criminal" lawyer.

Gonna be a hell of a final 8 epsisodes.

This is a show that I actually love waiting week to week for an episode. The break between the two parts is gonna be brutal though.

I'm guessing something with Howard finally breaks him where maybe Kim sees Jimmy/Saul for who he really is.
That's when he fully turns into Saul Goodman out of spite.

It would be interesting if Howard gets Kim into protective custody or into the witness protection program in an effort to stop the cartel against her wishes. Then wrap up the series with Gene getting caught up to, but it's not the cartel, it's the FBI. They just want to know what he knows. He take a deal and goes into witness protection and then he finds Kim waiting for him. Might be too sappy, but given how they ended Breaking Bad, it's probably what the fans really want. Just takes a heckuva time getting there.

A Kim betrayal might do it. Or maybe she takes the fall for whatever they’re really up to and ends up in prison. Whatever they’re doing, they seem to be steps ahead of Howard, and I don’t see him being the one to ruin anything for them. We know he’s got a guy on Jimmy now, and we know Mike has guys on Jimmy and Kim, so Howard’s gonna end up on Mike’s radar, which isn’t good for him.

So many ways it could go. I love this show.

I can’t see Kim ending up as innocent collateral damage. Not because I think she has plot armor or anything like that, but because I don’t really consider her innocent. She has chosen the Saul path with her eyes completely open. She has had numerous opportunities to get off that train and instead chose to add coal to the engine.

Howard, by contrast, is essentially an innocent. He was basically a good guy who tried to be loyal to Chuck AND be fair to Jimmy. Jimmy is the one who continually stabbed Howard in the back. I can see something SERIOUS happening to Howard (death, likely) that finally snaps Jimmy into full time Saul as he realizes he did Howard dirty.

I can see Kim somehow getting caught up in that, either leading to her own death, or (more likely) her going into WitSec or into her own hiding, either way, somehow leading to Gene finding her at the end and there being some kind of Vic Mackey level justice for the both of them (Purgatory/boring life for the two of them)

I think he has to lose Kim and lose in the courtroom to fully convert from Jimmy to Saul.
There would be no turning back with nothing to keep him grounded then.
The courtroom defeat would make sense if Howard was involved somehow.

Maybe there's a scenario where Jimmy faces off against Kim in the courtroom and that breaks him???
Not sure how that would happen, but that would be epic as she knows all his tricks.

Such a great show.

Yeah the pieces are in place for Kim to have to get the fuck out of town.

Shes fully breaking bad.

Vacuum repair card has made an appearance.

Lalo is a fucking nut.

How are they going to deal with the vacuum repairman? Have his “assistant” make the deal? Recreate his voice for a phone call only? Only reference the deal without actually showing it?

Yeah they will probably have to get a little creative with it, because its clearly going to play a role in the conclusion of this show.

Will be interesting to see how they do it.

Luckily since we all know by now full well how it works, we dont need to see a whole lot.

They probably knew how his character was to be used in the show, so maybe they had him record a bunch of dialogue before he died so they could piece together a phone conversation.

I was actually gonna say that, there is a solid chance they even pre shot/recorded some stuff since he his death was not an out of nowhere one and they have had the show pretty well planned out back when they woulda shot El Camino.

They also probably have archive footage they could splice together to use a bit too.

They can just show their side of the phone call, make it clear that's who they're calling, we know who it is and how the conversation goes.

I saw something about Gene's call to him in season 5 was from some extra footage they got filming El Camino. So there's a good chance they have more. But at the end of the day we really don't need to see his end of the call.

Lol, they have 100% jumped the shark with Lalo at this point. I actually would not be surprised to see him get away from the German cops next week by riding a jet ski through a flaming hoop and over a tank of great whites.

The whole deal in season four when he vaulted into the ceiling and crawled behind the Travel Wire counter only to drop through the ceiling on the other side in 5 seconds or so was absolutely dumb as fuck. But I can forgive that one stupid ass thing. You can have a guy like that eek his way out of an impossible situation ONE TIME.

However when it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME he's in any danger, it gets really predictable, boring, and kind of annoying to watch. In retrospect damn near every single scene with Lalo this season has been like watching the arc of a villain on a shitty CW show. I really don't know what the fuck they're doing. If it's a big build up for Lalo dying in a really mundane way like shitting his brains out from some bad bratwurst then maybe I get it.

At least everything else has been pretty solid though.

So, did we already know that Kim was from Nebraska?
And what are the odds that ties in with Jimmy/Saul/Gene choosing Omaha, Nebraska as his escape hatch through the vacuum delivery?

Finally got around to starting the series. About 6-7 episodes into the first season thus far.

She talked about it in her interview with Schweikart. I’d put the odds at more than 0 it ties in with Gene.
