So is it your opinion of you took those 6-8 kids from Ohios region out of Ohio States class they wouldn't replace them with a kid from somewhere nationally? Or if you dropped that 6-8 down to 2-4.

It's not going to happen overnight, but to say it NEVER will happen is dumb
Would you replace those kids? Absolutely. Would you replace them with recruits as highly ranked? That is up for debate. Ohio is the most talent rich state in the Midwest, so please stop recruiting the state of Ohio -- Michigan would love to sign some of that talent.

There is nothing rain man about it. It is simple math. Ohio State has signed 5 five star recruits and 20 top 200 recruits from just the state of Ohio since 2018. If you go back further, they sign even more of their talent from in state.

That isn't and will never be an option for Nebraska, so they have to battle all the big boy programs for any recruit they want and the fact Nebraska has signed exactly one 5 star recruit from outside the state of Nebraska since 2000 -- they don't win many of those battles.

But hey -- remember the 70's when Nebraska was the only school with a strength and conditioning coach?

You brought up Georgia, Short Bus.

I've talked about the collapse of Nebraska from the day it was announced they were leaving their history and national rivals behind to join the B1G. It was a huge mistake athletically, but a great choice financially.

The big XII
It is only repeated because Nebraska fans so desperately want to believe it isn't the truth. It isn't a "coincidence" that all the top recruiting schools are located in or on the border (in clemson case) talent rich states

It is also why I wanted to wager Red Alert that no big name coach is coming to Nebraska, because the top coaches KNOW it is an uphill battle in the most important aspect of college football.......recruiting.
Who defines "big name?" Are we talking the likes of Saban, Swinney, Riley?
Post a list of all acceptable names. How many names are on it?

He/She defined Nebraska's limit on a HC as Mickey Joseph or a coordinator from somewhere else.

i.e. No current or past HC would take the Nebraska job.

I offered you a lifetime avy bet. With all the talk about NIL and deep pocket alumni -- Nebraska should have their choice of head coaches. USC went out and got their guy. LSU went out and got their guy. Who is Nebraska going to get?

The only high end coach without a job right now is Urban Meyer and that isn't happening. So who do you see leaving a current HC position to go to Nebraska?

They are essentially identical and quite possibly the best ever would you choose A or B because they both have the same issues. I’d say Wisky just because at least Wisconsin has shown more recently they are good, they just need to find a real FBS level QB. Nebraska takes steps forward then steps backwards.

Lincoln is 45 minutes from Omaha which has a larger population than Detroit. What’s Iowa biggest city again?
Yes. Last I heard Homaha is filled with Nebraskans. That was my point.
