Well, that is the best I have seen them in awhile. Crisp passing, numerous opportunities, a lot of defensive pressure in Salzburg zone, and Neuer what can you say. Neuer makes everything go. That sweeper keeper just helps the defense so much. No comparison. True professional in net. Never looks jittery. Always calm. Have to have that.

As average as they looked on the weekend they look slick as snot today. Most of the cutesy stuff is working, back heels what not, it was a good effort today.

Yup and adios Mbappe too. Franchise altering loss. No real player should be in the French League. Beat up on the Nice's and Toulloise's of the world and meet a real team and get flattened. Hell, they got knocked out in Coupe De France this year and lost their last 2 Ligue 1 games too. Last year they barely knocked out Bayern with no Lewandowski and Gnabry. A couple years ago they had that epic collapse against Barcelona after winning like 4-0 in the first leg. Also:

1) Let's get this out of the way. Neymar at 30 was never that great. Overrated. MLS here he comes.
2) Two top flight goaltenders? Sharing time? That was a disaster waiting for its moment of calamity as we saw today.
3) No real grinders on this team. Too much high priced talent not willing to do the dirty work.
4) You watch next season when Mbappe gone, they are signing Ronaldo. Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar will roll in the French Leugue and get rolled again in round of 16 or 8.
5) It appears that Messi and Ronaldo too might be beginning the over the hill tour.
6) Pochitino will be out. He is a good coach, but no one can win here with this roster. No way to implement your system. That is why Tuchel probably happy to be out of there too. Way more disciplined players at Chelsea.
7) If one of your players, needs a new haircut and/or color for each big game, you know you are in trouble.
