It cuts through 100 watt Marshalls, no problem. The "1000 watts" title can be a bit misleading, though; sort of like the law of diminishing returns. It has an SPL rating of 127db. I'm pretty sure a 400 watt Marshall would dwarf it in loudness.Oooooo ... I bet that fucker is loud,
Wattage is the most overrated thing people get fixated on and rely on. It’s all about speaker area and efficiency. It cuts through 100 watt Marshalls, no problem. This is my fiddle and bow. Ole Bull is stamped in the wood on the backside, but it’s a replica from the 40’s. Sounds great, I can saw a mean damn fiddle. The bow needs rehaired, but I can still make due.
I have cheap, Japanese acoustic guitar, but I’m only a 3 chord finger picker on the guitar, good enough for me, but the fiddle is my bread and butter. Can also play the mandolin at a high level(a mandolin and the fiddle have the same chords), but I don’t have one at the moment
It looks real good cleaned up, but I like the rosin powder there, it shows it gets played. That’s gorgeous!
Had to show my oldest daughter. She played viola growing up a lot.
She might be looking online for a fiddle now lol
I have that same amp. Not bad.Nothing big. I just snag a couple minis that can be moved room to room as needed.
My Peavey Vypyr VIP1 - ran about $100 but there are some good tones/effects to be found with some trial and error. The XXX and Twin settings get used a lot. It sounds better than the price reflects with the exception of getting a muddy tone on the top E string Higher up the neck. But that's clean tone only and I rarely go there and any distortion/gain gets rid of it. I know it's not the guitar because it sounds fine on my mini Marshall.
Verdict - yes it is worth $100. I would buy it again.

I had been thinking about getting one of these, you probably just saved me 40$.Marshall MG10, I don't like it. The tone is good, but too bright, I feel like I am trying to play jangle rock. It is better than nothing but I wish I had a do-over and could spend a little more and get something with actual treble, mid, bass control. The way it stands, I only play it if I am in that room with my axe.
Verdict - do not buy. Get the next step up with tone control.

It has to have at least low mid high adjustment. I kinda been on the acoustic kick again lately so haven't really researched more. But yeah, stay away from this one, way to bright. Needs a way to tone it down.I had been thinking about getting one of these, you probably just saved me 40$.
What would be the "step up" model? The 15?

Here's my collection, starting with my squier. It's a dark green that you can't see all that well unless it's in the sunlight:View attachment 17863View attachment 17865

If you don't have someone near you can borrow an amp you're interested in or a store that will allow with COVID, check out YouTube. I was able to find a few comparison videos. Toby's Guitar Gear Comparisons were the best ones I found that took four different amps in a particular "class" and played them back to back for several seconds on the same riff so you could hear the differences.
Here's the one I used to help with my Katana purchase:
Here's one that was for beginner amps that included @rfjeff9 Marshall 10:
