It’s over. The Time has come.

On a neutral field, which team would be a favorite against Alabama? Georgia (maybe).
That’s what I am saying. Oregon playing the crap teams in the PAC and think because they beat the piss out of them, the same could be done to Alabama. Or replace the spot that Alabama gave up. Oregon had that shit in hand last season and look what Utah did to the Ducks… twice. Name an atmosphere that Oregon would play in in the PAC that is similar to Knoxville. And Death Valley at night.

Lanning inherited a program on the Moon, he is taking it to Mars. There is zero reason or interest in him to leave. He can and will absolutely dominate the PAC-12 as long as there is a PAC-12 or Oregon is in the PAC-12, and he will be successful if Oregon goes to the B1G or SEC.
Lanning will leave within 2 years. He wants to coach at the P5 4 level.

At some point when one coach after another continue to leave for greener pastures -- Oregon fans will grasp that they are a stepping stone program. Coaches use Oregon to audition for the big boy programs.

Saban has always been an excellent recruiter, but he possesses a weird propensity to hire dullards or broken coaches as assistants, with some exceptions.

So long as Pete Golding remains in place, it matters not how good Bama's offense is (and it could be a lot better with the talent they have), we'll see winning Bama seasons - but not the dominance we've come to know.

The #1 ranking was fair because it wasn't based on how people thought whether a team was good or not but whether based on resume. Tennessee had the best resume. This is why I am high on TCU. I don't think TCU finishes unbeaten or makes the playoffs but based on performance, they should be in top 3 to date.

A lot of crap talking both before and after from UGA fans as well. I keep hearing how we stood no chance in Athens, etc. I guess they were correct.

The Erik Ainge tweet was stupid.

One impact factor in the game was Kirby Smart prepping for Tennessee in off season and up to the game. I feel like you guys didn't have anyone, outside of maybe Florida, that scared you and you focused a lot on Tennessee. Tennessee was battling through Pitt, Florida, LSU, and Alabama (then again, I wonder if anyone at Tennessee, outside of the players, really though we would be this good). If you listen to me a couple of months ago, I was just hoping for wins over Pitt and Florida.

I take it you missed this weekend's game?

The only environment like that in the PAC-12 is Oregon itself. To be fair though, Oregon did win at Columbus last year with a lead pretty much the entire game.

RIP NIck you will be missed.

I am reading up on this shit right now. Lanning possibly goes to Auburn. That's a big DAYUM... After one season. Which coach heads to Oregon?

You may have gotten that from something I posted so let me clarify. The reason that CKS would do that is not that you “scared” us per se, but that you run an unusual offense that by your results is obviously very successful. By that I mean the pace your run is something that no one else runs. If you wait until the week before the game to try and come up with your strategy, and then teach it in one week, you can forget about it. No coach waits until the week before to prep their team for future games, and I think that CKS is one of the better coaches at this … and I presume he learned that from Satan.

FWIW, we did the same thing every year prepping for Paul Johnson’s O at Georgia Tech, and you know we weren’t scared of the Nerds. It was that they ran the triple option that no one else ran, and if we waited until the week before it would be too late.

For those kinds of offenses, in particular, the practice to defend them starts well before the games. Keep in mind that Heupel’s offense has been around for a while, it’s not like what he is doing this year is something our coaches and analysts haven’t had a ton of tape on for many years.

Finally, keep in mind that UGA has dozens of graduate assistants and analysts on the payroll. Hell we have a former G5 HC, and OC at Auburn on the staff as an analyst - Mike Bono. My son’s best friend is an Alabama player who’s roommate is a GA. The guys primary job is to look at and edit tape all day long. He’s one of many. The amount of knowledge the major programs have available to them, and the staffs they have to pour over this is crazy huge.

True but our offense did not run normal pace. The TOP was about even which is funny because we should only have about 20% TOP. I give Georgia credit for a lot of that as well.

Georgia didn't panic and adjust their game like other teams (notably Alabama and Kentucky) did against Tennessee.

Kirby Smart earned his paycheck.

I am also not so sure Tennessee was ready for spot light. It might be good we are out of it. That #1 CFP ranking was likely kiss of death. However, even if we had played well this past Saturday and not laid an egg, I still think UGA would have won. You guys just came in prepared, fired up, etc. All the brakes fell your way early as well. I am surprised the score wasn't worse. Kirby was a little conservative in the second half.

It was one of those days were just everything went against you. The bright spot was that our defense played well enough to give our offense a chance.

It's not over. Saban is a competitor. He will make some staff changes, which is what most Bama fans seem to want anyways
