DFW is a Cowboys market. That, alone, destroys their credibility.

OD up in here acting like every single player from the football team will be Floyd Mayweather hopping pool to pool in their free time lol

id still prefer Boise Fresno and SDSU more than any other teams

I would like to add, UNLV, and Las Vegas in general, has put out some great MLB talent from UNLV and CSN.

Arizona State is a prime example of a school that has loads of smoking hot chicks and loads of raging parties. They struggle to compete consistently in the Pac 12 still.

And in reading through these that example was something that entered my mind too because I went to Arizona State, was in the Greek system there. And let me tell you, some of the stuff I saw and experienced you probably couldn’t script in a movie. The ridiculous parties, upscale clubs, designer drugs, absolutely smoking hot chicks everywhere, many of whom were down to do whatever, etc. If I could rewind the clock to 18 and make that college decision again, hell yes I’m headed straight back to ASU in a heartbeat.

But if I’m a stud player and I get that offer to an Ohio State for example with the opportunity to play in sold out stadiums with a passionate fanbase behind me, play for an elite winner with an chance to compete for national championships, have the possibility to make hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions in NIL money, boost my NFL draft stock, etc, it’s a no brainer. What are we even talking about here?

Because ASU as fun as that experience was is a fairly mediocre football program who has had moderate success at the Power 5 level.

UNLV on the other hand is a horrendous football program. There’s no comparison to even ASU. They’re terrible. Forget winning at a Power 5 level, they can’t even win in a Group of 5 conference. They’re that bad. Now I realize things can change over time. They may get that invite to the PAC or whatever, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be an elite or even have success. And keep in mind even in a watered down PAC, the competition that they can’t even compete against now will be significantly tougher. So now you have that hurdle to account for too. I’m sorry but regardless of Vegas’ growth, what the city has to offer, etc., this is still college football we’re talking about. And I just can’t see UNLV ever being elite, at least not in our lifetimes.

The PAC doesn't and won't have a media deal until the pillaging ends. There's hasn't been an incentive for the media to negotiate and there won't be until they know what they're bidding on. I'm still expecting Arizona, Oregon and Washington to be gone. Utah and Arizona State could end up being gone as well.

If the Big Ten chooses to wait on UO/UW, I think the Big 12 takes Arizona, Oregon and Washington. PAC is then left with Utah, ASU, Stanford, California, Oregon State and Washington State. They'll have to backfill with AAC/MWC teams. It will be interesting to see if Stanford/Cal push for academic minded adds or whether they just go for the best sports programs.

Teams that would be considered IMO: SDSU, Fresno State, Boise State, UNLV, Colorado State, Air Force, SMU, Tulane, UTSA, Rice.

Rice seems like a stretch but I think Stanford may push for like minded schools rather than sports adds like Boise. I wouldn't be shocked if Stanford left a conference that included UNLV, Fresno, Boise, etc.

Those are the only three that meet the academic mindset... or at least the perceived ones.

Stanford needs to STFU then. This isn't about grabbing elite academic schools, this is about grabbing good teams/markets to have your conference survive. If Stanford wants to speak up at the table you tell them to STFU and if they want their precious academia then they themselves can GTFO and go find their academic league. It's this catering to academics that got us into this mess in the first place.

The three to add now are SDSU, SMU, and UNLV. Stanford wants to bounce to the library you add Boise State.

Bro, the conference lives or dies by the choice you and Washington make. Yes it seems like you’ll always jump to the B1G given the chance but if the years roll on with you in it, y’all add 1 or 3 and you and Udub are PhilKnightU are making making playoffs constantly and money is starting to add up who knows.

Add the 3 best G5’s (football wise) take a deal media deal that gets ya through and live to see another day.

Tell me you're anti-intellectual without using the word anti-intellectual.

Dumb athletes need a league of their own thar involves vehicles but not classes.

The PAC's not going anywhere. Sure it's going to get diluted with some MWC teams, but the PAC is a P5 brand name.
I would disagree. It was a P5 brand name then became a punch line.

When you conference is down to 6 schools, SDSU, CSU, SMU, etc. all become acceptable academic choices. I hope the PAC chooses not to go down that path. I'd like to see a competitive PAC 12, even if Oregon isn't a part of it.
