SEC Basketball

Ole Miss isn't terrible. They are a couple spots away from that being a Q1 win for Tennessee. I did watch it, and Tennessee got off to a slow start, they were trailing 31-21 at one point and really shut them down in the 2nd half. Their defense is really good.

I think Auburn will be in a lot of low-scoring games. They play pretty good defense too. So the margin for error, while small, will most likely mean you'll be in every game even against the "elite" teams which Auburn, is probably a step down from that, but should still be a top 25 team all year, and can certainly make a run. They could also fall victim to a 4/13 or 5/12 upset in the tournament because of their style of play. Alot of variance with them this season.
I disagree with you on Ole Miss as I think a few more losses and it could go the wrong way in a hurry for them.

Auburn needs a consistent shooting guard who is a legit scoring threat badly and the freshman Tre Donaldson is starting to show some promise but still seems hesitant to shoot. Turnovers and shooting percentage are the two metrics Auburn needs to win in order to be successful and both are spotty right now.

I will say this Bruce is playing a ton of players and actually has a rotation of about 11 that are getting significant playing time so there is a ton of depth and it will help keep players healthy so that is an advantage few teams have right now. Auburn has the talent to make a run the talent just isn't always showing up right now and that's disappointing and I suspect its a rhythm thing because the rotation is so large.

Losing to UNA is definitely a terrible loss. I'm just saying from a metric standpoint, they will probably be a Q2 win for Tennessee all year long. It's not like Ole Miss is FSU, Cal, or the Gophers.

And yeah, I agree about Auburn. They have the talent to make a run, they just need to figure it out offensively.

I know Auburn is guaranteed one more win from the SEC/B12 challenge or whatever the hell they are calling it now.

LOL @Wild Turkey

I thought Auburn was a roundball school?
We are but this isn't going to be a win the conference year for us because we just don't have the shooters. Bruce is still trying to figure out the roster that works and he played 12 guys last night and he is going to have to shrink that down to more like 8 or 9 and that is going to be tough because some people are going to have very reduced playing time.

What I am noticing most is that some guys are getting in and trying to impress in order to win one of those spots so hard that they are pushing the game faster and harder than it needs to be instead of letting the game come to them and it is creating an atmosphere of desperation. The roster is going to need to be whittled down so that guys can get comfortable in their roles and once that happens the play will improve.

That and I also think Georgia is a little better this year in Basketball.

Cal should be done but with the $55M buyout and next years recruiting class they will keep him

Kentucky has a very unstable culture.

It was not wise to give so much money to a guy who operates almost solely by bringing in the biggest blue chip freshmen every year, especially since 1 and done may go away.

That said, I think they'll bounce back this year and start winning some

I haven't heard anything about 1 and done going away so what is the scoop on that?

If that happens it may be the best thing that has happened to basketball in quite some time. A bunch of guys will skip college and go to the G-League but honestly, that isn't a bad thing IMO because if that is their motivation that is where they need to be. Lets be teal the G-League gets a handful every year anyway so its not like they can take all the talent and with NIL college will be competitive for most.

Took a chance on Kentucky and LSU ML parlay at $150 to win $9K.
