The Stormlight Archive

I am finishing up the third Mistborn novel (Hero of Ages)...I am starting to see how the whole Cosmere fits together a little better now. Kind of wild.

Mistborn is a terrific series. I should probably give it a re-read after having read Stormlight and some other cosmere works. I'm sure I've passed over plenty of references to other worlds and characters due to the sheer density of all the books.

it's good to see the Wax and Wayne books are much shorter than the Mistborns...but I won't be getting into them just yet.

Oh yeah, I never even read those. And dude just keeps pumping out more and more stuff, I'll never finish it all

he's a fucking machine.

his secret projects were hit or miss though. I like Tress...not sure I liked the other one I read.

Back in July, my son asked for a book rec for his summer reading project. I gave him a copy of Way of Kings with an evil grin. To my surprise, he finished it in about 2 weeks and then kept reading the series, including Edgedancer and Dawnshard. He's on Rhythm of War now and can't wait for the finale. We're going to read it together once it hits.

Well, of this first arc. I'm hoping some things get revealed. I might not live long enough to read the next five books

Sanderson will somehow have them done in 5 years...while writing 5 other novels in the meantime

the man has gotta be raking in the cash himself. He's easily the most popular fantasy writer out there right now

Wind and Truth out today...

from the sounds of it, there is going to be something in this one that is going to crush you and I can't wait to find out what it is

I’m halfway through Wind and Truth and loving every page.

My copy is wrapped and sitting under the tree...five more days...
a copy became available at the library but I pushed it until 2025. I trying my best to hit my 52 book goal for 2024 and a 1300 page ain't gonna help me there

I just read the prologue, already a couple of reveals. Wife bought me a hardback, love the artwork in the front and back covers
Oh yeah I’m glad I went with the hardback, the artwork throughout is fantastic. I’m finally to day 10, this has been such a phenomenal book so far and I’m ready for the classic Sanderson finale fireworks.

Well I'm in the middle of Day 2, and it's getting a little touchy-feely but I can see the buildup. Gotta put in some work this weekend

Picked up Wind & Truth yesterday. Let's fucking do this.
I'm reading slowly, don't want to gloss over anything important. I'm just about to the end of day 2, it's almost all action so far
