USPS is finally failing

Another day, another late package. Must be the inclement weather that came a day after the package was supposed to arrive.

With your attitude, I wouldn't deliver your shit either.

absolutely no issues with shipping from any companies this year except for the stupid toy I bought from Japan thinking it would get here in time for Christmas.

Good job, USPS/FedEx/UPS!

Before Christmas (about 3 weeks before) I had mailed a bunch of packages via priority mail. I knew I should have been worried when I saw the pile of boxes accumulating at the branch office. It took 4 days before they even left the branch to be mailed.

Then just this past Monday I went to mail a priority letter and the branch closes at 6. I arrived at 5:10 to a ridiculously long line and one of the workers declared the person right behind me would be the last customer served. It was only 5:25 by the time I got to the front and they had a half hour to go and they just decided to close early that day. Wasn’t the first time they closed unexpectedly early. The workers just decided they had worked enough and wanted to go home. Must be nice.

So is it dead yet?

got a package a day early, they are dead i tell ya

Dude I've got a shipment from Japan that is supposed to be airfreighted in and it's been at the airport waiting for a month and a half. Granted it's a big order for a company but they've got massive logistics problems right now that make us look good.

They killed themselves shutting down manufacturing plants for both COVID and bringing up plants to earthquake code. If you want to special order a car from Japan I wouldn't count on it being less than a 9-month wait.

Package never made it. The replacement the company had to send did though.

Got another late one doe...

does Hammer have an issue with UPS too?

Got to love the USPS. I am a power ebay seller. I sold an item in California to a location less than 10 miles from me last Wednesday. Guess where it is now? You got it...Puerto Rico. I wonder how much jet fuel that cost?? And you wonder why shipping via USPS is so expensive now. Remember, it still has to fly back to California to get to its intended location. Traveling 6000 miles or so just to get to a destination less than 10 miles from me. Maybe we need to return to the Pony Express.

NOTE: not first time I have seen this. Sent one to Tennessee not too long ago. Got to Palmetto, GA. Then it went back and forth to Salt Lake City and Palmetto at least 6 times before finally getting to Tennessee destination. Nearly a month long after I gave a refund. Not the only person seeing this. See Ebay community. In some ways you think it may be intentional to eventually privatize it. FedEx and UPS not an option. Way more expensive. Hell shipping now more expensive than the item sold.

Yeah... I sent a small package from Newport, RI to Boston, MA earlier this year. It's about 70 miles away. Should have been there the next day.

Looking at the tracking records, it went to Providence, RI > Las Vegas > Los Angeles > Riverside (CA) > Dallas > Back to Las Vegas >Memphis > Providence, RI > Boston (finally).

Took about 13 days to go 70 miles.

Wow. More profit for the airlines here too. They have that new ground advantage where more items travel via trucks instead of jets to save costs … supposedly. But looking at your case and mine this was a lot of useless and costly air travel instead we are paying for for no reason but incompetence. Ground Advantage 100% fraud,

Don’t let FedEx off the hook. Broad had a package two weeks ago, it was “out for delivery” for three days. Each day, they unloaded it at the warehouse for the return scan and then loaded it the next day. Finally she had to have it “held for pickup” at a location just to get those muppets to do something with it.

Of course it was beat to shit. Every. Single. Fucking. FedEx. Package. That gets delivered here is completely beat to shit, if not straight up rifled through. I ordered a backpack from Under Armour, It came inside a plastic bag, inside a box. The box was ripped open, retaped and the interior plastic bag was ripped and the backpack itself was unzipped too. Just scumbags.

Once one of my eBay packages, and these are small boxes full of packing tape and sturdy, returned ripped open and empty day after Christmas. Someone in St Louis distribution center looking for an xmas gift for themselves? The problem I see is these distribution centers now. Consolidated a lot recently. Employees saying wtf I will route this around the country for a bit to say fuck off to our jobs we will probably lose anyways in a few years.
