Who will win Heisman

10.2 Y/A versus a defense that's averaging 5.21 on the season, the 4th best in the NCAA. Also the 20th best completion percentage allowed
The 2nd best QB Rutgers has faced this year is Tanner Mordecai, and he's absolute garbage.

Kyle McCord and Drew Allar combined for 37 incompletions on Saturday. JJ McCarthy has 37 incompletions TOTAL through 8 games
So you are saying Ken Dorsey should’ve won a Heisman? Not being shitty on a good team doesn’t mean you should win the Heisman.

Marvin Harrison Jr’s last game:

7 catches 149 yards 2 TDs
1 rush 19 yards 1 TD

Harrison might get an invite but he would need a monster game against Michigan, similar to what JSN did to Utah, and a really good one against Minnesota to be seriously considered to win it

Agreed, even without those I think he’s the best player and should win. But he doesn’t get it without Washington losing and him having a game winner against UM.

Just to be invited is an honor though and I’m happy he’s being recognized. Probably the best Buckeye I have ever seen in my young life.

If the award goes to the best college football player, it is Marvin Harrison, Jr. by a mile.

I do not expect that to happen, which is to say that the award should just be given to the best QB or RB.

I think Harrison is an amazing player, but to win it as a WR, you have to be putting up stats no other WR is. There are alot of WR's on high profile teams putting up numbers as good or better than Harrison.

Harrison is 27th in reception and 7th in yards for WR's. Odunze (Washington), Leggette (South Carolina) and Franklin (Oregon) all average more yards per reception too.

If I am a NFL team -- I'm taking Harrison. But for the Heisman -- I think it will come down to Pennix or Jayden Daniels. If LSU were better -- Daniels would win in a landslide. Guy is completing 71% of his passes. He has the highest QB rating. He has the most TD passes with 30. He has the 3rd most passing yards. AND he has rushed for 920 yards and 8 more TD's.

The thing about Daniels for me is that while he has those good numbers hes doing it with less effort. and i dont mean that in a good way. 71.4% completion but has only attempted 273 passes. Penix has almost 100 more pass attempts at 68% completion
beyond your 2 choices here are a few that have higher completion with more passes.
Beck has just under 50 more passes and is at 72.2 completion.
Mertz has 64 more passes at 73.3
Nix has 59 more passes at 77.7%

i dont know that the NFL wants qbs that have to run vs can run.

Daniels doesn't have to run -- hence the fact he has the 3rd most passing yards in CFB. He can run.

Should be Jaeden Daniels in a runaway. That little bastard

Lot of folks believe it will go to the winner of the Pac CCG, but that assumes both UW and Oregon are there without a loss on the way and none of the others in line do something crazy good.

No matter how much they want to pump up Nix -- he isn't winning the Heisman.

If UW goes undefeated -- I think it goes to Pennix. If they lose, I think it goes to Jayden Daniels.

I'm curious why you think Nix can't win it? He's got 34 TD's and only 2 INT's. If they win out, he's gonna win it IMO.

He has 29 and 2. Jayden Daniels leads the NCAA with 30 passing tds and 4 int's. Jayden Daniels also leads the NCAA in QB Rating. Jayden Daniels has thrown for more yards than Nix even though he has thrown 60 less passes. Jayden Daniels will also end the year with well over 1,000 yards rushing and double digit rushing touchdowns while playing in a conference with vastly better defenses than the PAC.

If someone wins it from the PAC -- it will be Pennix. Nix isn't winning it. IMO.

I'm not entirely convinced Penix wins it even if UW wins out.

Agreed. Nix is the betting favorite ATM. If he puts up numbers and Oregon wins out, I also think he's going to win it.
