Understand. I was just explaining why it was a terrible pick, as there is no value in drafting a change of pace RB that high. He has no chance to ever be a bell cow back with his size, so it is a crazy pick to make.Feelings aside, I’m just explaining why they did it. Swift is gone.
For the last two years -- Detroit has been doing it right. Building in the trenches in the early rounds. We had a chance to make the defensive line a tremendous strength and instead we made "the smartest guy in the room" type picks. Reaching for shiny toys on offense and ignoring positional value. That has never worked for Detroit.
