"baseball is so much better now"

Instead of pennant races at the end we have Rockies vs. Twins

What a total joke.
Find me a a last weekend of the regular season from year in history that didn’t feature numerous matchups with teams that have nothing to play for.

You can’t, so this post was pathetic and retarded

It was common for Cubs vs. Cards and Yankees vs. Red Sox. Please let me know what other questions you might have about the game of baseball when it was relevant. I’ll be happy to help.

Padres vs. White Sox :rolleyes2: Mind boggling that people pay money to watch this shit.

Cubs, Cardinals, Yankees and Red Sox have all been eliminated this season.

And I also hate to tell you, you are a lot older than I thought you were if you’ve ever seen the final series of the regular season be for the pennant.

Cubs and Cards and Yankees and Red Sox are eliminated from the playoffs, that wouldn’t be for a playoff spot, much less a pennant.

The AL West matchups were meaningful until yesterday

Are you both okay? I said how things used to be. The season ended with key matchups.

Try caffeine?

The AL West matchups were key.

You said they played for pennants to end the regular season, last year that was true was 1968

The schedule was made a year in advance.

You’re trying to distract from what I said.

It was common in baseball to end the season with key matchups. It was this way since the Civil fucking War.

Now we have ChiSox and Padres.

I’m not sure how to make this any more clear so I hope you guys get it. :noidea:

There’s 30 teams, they all have to play someone to end the season. There were key AL West matchups, and if you like rivalries no matter if the teams are good and playing for anything or not, the Dodgers close the season against the Giants

The Braves and Reds used to be in the NL West while the Cardinals and Cubs were in the East. That was flat out retarded, not better in any way

Who should the Padres play? They’re a trash organization that has never won anything. They don’t have a natural rival because they’re completely fucking irrelevant. The NL West ends its season with the Giants versus the Dodgers, as it should be.

Someone in the division. Barring that, some in.,, you know, the unmmmm National League?

Baseball is dead.

Padres and White Sox. And fools bought tickets to that shit because they don’t realize just how incredibly bad this sport has become.

“wuts wrong with ending the season with a key matchup between perennial rivals the Rockies and Twins?”

Twins clinched the division weeks ago and Rockies were eliminated weeks ago, there was never gonna be a key matchup for either team

Phillies play the Mets, Giants play the Dodgers and there were multiple key AL West matchups
