2021 season thread

Indy road course this weekend. So glad NASCAR isn't running the Brickyard anymore. If I had my way, NASCAR would be running the Indianapolis short track that the Busch Series used to race at. Think SRX had a race there this year.

Gonna put my money on Allmendinger for both races.

So they got rid of the brickyard altogether?

Well, part of the road course is on the Brickyard, but I always hated the Brickyard 400. It's an open wheel track and it showed.
I knew what you meant. They are no longer gonna race the 400 anymore?

congrats to your boy Reddick getting a bonus point for playoffs (if he gets in) :thumb:

I doubt he gets in without winning. Daytona is the last race before the cutoff, and I figure some also ran will pull a win out of their ass. Both Childress drivers are ahead of a lot of playoff drivers in real points, but it doesn't matter.

In a perfect world for me, both RCR drivers and Harvick win these last 3 races and Larson stays ahead of Hamlin in points. That's the only way all 3 can get in.

These last few laps are sure to be a clusterfuck.

NASCAR might get some shit over that curb in turn 5.

Great repair job, Nascar.

Never gonna complain about Logano crashing hard. But that can’t happen

But nice ARCA brakes from the guys running 20th that piled in after the fact

For real, how did race control not see how bad the curb was after Truex wrecked the lap before ?

But if spotters were paying attention, a simple "don't run over that curb" would have saved a lot of trouble.

Pulling up the curb was the right move. A Rick Ware Racing car spreading oil all over the track under caution needs to have a steep penalty. That fucker is bogarting 4 charters while teams that have intentions of actually competiting with the new cars have charter availability holding them up from moving to Cup

Cluster. Fuck.

And of course both RCR cars get taken out in that shit. The fact that Michael McDowell has a playoff spot because he got lucky AF in the Daytona 500 should be proof enough to NASCAR that the playoffs are a stupid idea.

Bubba should be penalized, imo. He had no intentions of following the course there. He intentionally went to the right of the curb.
