2021 season thread

Harrison Burton to the 21 next season. He’s had a pretty bad sophomore slump in the Busch Series this year. Think it’s a mistake. Sucks for Matty D

Kyle Busch gonna get fined for hitting the pace car
 
Perfect storm for that to happen. Rain washed all the rubber from the Busch race off the track. No traction compound at New Hampshire for the first time in a while and just enough rain to make the track too slick for racing slicks.

Love that it disproportionately effected Joe Gibbs though
 
well I think Nascar had its head up their own asses on this.
Cars had lost traction for 2 laps before the wreck. Yellow should have already been out.
& I can't stand Kyle Busch, but I would be pissed!
 
I want to feel bad for Kyle but I just can't.

I'm just not capable of feeling bad for Kyle Busch. Or Denny Hamlin. Or Joey Logano(too bad he didn't knock down the wall).

Hate it for Truex though.
 
Just like last year when Cole Custer pulled a win out of his ass and made the "playoffs" despite being like 25th in points, Aric Almirola who is 27th in points has a shot to win a farce of a championship.

I feel like RCR had made great strides this season, both drivers are higher in points than their playoff standings, yet now it's pretty well impossible for both to make the playoffs.

Happy for Almirola. Would have really enjoyed his win if it didn't have such an impact on who can win a farcical championship. This isn't like the early 00's before the Chase was started when a guy like Joe Nemechek or Ward Burton winning a race out of nowhere was a feel good and popular win.
 
Brad K officially to the #6 and a minority owner of Roush/Fenway.
 
Roush’s equipment obviously needs some work, but they also haven’t had a driver of Brad’s caliber since Carl Edward’s left them
 
If this is it for Ryan Newman, the 2002 rookie class will be done.

2001 with Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch still going pretty strong though
 
Ross Chastain will be driving for Trackhouse in the 1 next year.
 
I don’t know why I didn’t bet on Ty Gibbs. That kid is gonna be the next big thing in NASCAR. Bet on Dinger.

The truck race had already started before I realized there was a truck race so didn’t get a bet in

Yep. Fuck Larson too. Bell’s best tracks seem to be road courses and he pays well. Elliott pays shit and I don’t like profiting on Elliott wins
