Harbaugh facing 4 game suspension

Looks like Harbaughs suspension is being delayed until 2024 bc the committee on infractions rejected his deal with the NCAA.

Not sure if this means it could get completely overturned or if they are saying they don't think it's enough.
The quote I saw was "this is about recruiting violations, not cheeseburgers" so from that I think they will make the punishment harsher.

Let the Harbaugh to the NFL speculation start a little earlier this year, I guess

The recruiting violations were secondary. Buying a recruit a cheeseburger in an off contact period is a minor violation. Almost every team has them any given year. I think harbaugh turned down she 4 game suspension or wouldn’t admit something publicly that they wanted him to. No way the NCAA could punish this nonsense more severely.

This man slept over at a recruits house once....
His biggest crime in life is saying he didn’t remember buying a cheeseburger…..to an already committed recruit no less.

Does the NCAA condone Lia “well hung” Thomas swimming in Women’s Meets? If yes, they need to STFU and go away.

The NCAA does not require anyone to admit anything publicly.

but even privately admitting he did something wrong may be a sticking point for Harbaugh. I’m sure there’s something in the old agreement about admitting fault. I don’t think it means the ncaa turned down the agreement I think it means Harbaugh has lawyered up and is fighting the ncaa.

What does this mean?
It's an Oregon fan's attempt at trying to be included. B1G was already bad with Maryland and Rutgers, adding these west coast cream puffs isn't improving things

No. Harbaugh reached an agreement with the NCAA on the suspension. That much has already been reported. The committee on infractions then has to give their seal h of approval and they didn't. Why remains to be seen as from what I ready, it's generally a formality and they basically always approve whatever punishment is recommended.

We don’t know that actually. We know there was a tentative deal that wasn’t finalized (ie agreed upon), we don’t know which side was having issues on finalizing it. Someone leaked the negotiations and that’s been treated as 1 a solid number and 2 fact. Neither of which we know.

So you're of the opinion that what was reported almost a month ago that Harbaugh reached an agreement with the NCAA is not right despite nothing being said about it that entire time until now? Also, finalized and agreed upon are not equal. You can have have an agreed upon deal to sell a house between buyer and seller but the bank can reject it based on appraisal. This isn't all that different

If the initial report was wrong I highly doubt it goes silent for over 3 weeks before being said it was rejected by the COI

I would think Harbs had a lawyer the whole time when the 4 game was agreed.

The initial report stated “Hurdles arose and the deal is now off,”

and I know the 4 game thing was being reported as fact, but Michigan insiders were all pretty much saying the number of games was still being disputed.

It's also entirely possible Harbaugh is just being Harbaugh and pissed the wrong person off.

We all know the NCAA doesn't have much in the way of teeth anymore. Even if they do have a hard on for Harbaugh now it would be interesting to see what they could actually do about it
