They should be able to on something as egregious as this. But has a protesting a call ever actually done anything in baseball? I can't think of a time they actually reversed a call afterwards. And then what? Are they going to pick the game back up tomorrow in the ninth with two outs and the bases loaded?They should be able to protest that the home plate umpire didn't correctly rule that Conforto made no attempt to get out of the way. Even the Mets broadcast crew pointed that out.
